MULTILINGUALISM AS A CURRENT SOCIAL ISSUE IN NEUROSCIENCE

This paper is devoted to the findings of neuroscience, which are relevant for professionals involved in the study and learning of (foreign) languages. In the first part of the chapter, the author first explains the concepts of monolingualism and multilingualism, and then discusses the types of bilingualism as a basic type of multilingualism. In the second part of the chapter, he presents the results of neurolinguistic research in relation to L1 acquisition and learning from L2 to Lx.
